Never assume the future,
when the presents uncertainties.
Free birds fly South in the Winter,
taking for granted Spring's arrival.
No need to rely on human kindness,
when the feeder is empty,
because their paradise exists
in the skies of freedom.
We assume our tomorrows,
before our today's are concrete.
Springs run dry, as hearts wither,
not realizing a soul's Winter
needs the warmth of human touch.
Our freedom must be born
within our spirits of love,
arriving with the changes of countless seasons. . .
