“Such A Tender Love”

On days like this without your tender kiss,
I journey far and wide to find passion.
Upon my sad heart is no longer bliss,
I yearn for your true loving compassion.

Down upon my knee I forsake my heart,
wishing only to taste your lips once more.
As in human life we all must depart,
as we try to prevent the closing of the door.

As my eyes have seen true so many nights,
wandering paths in the darkness alone.
I pray to thee to envision the light,
as I walk the path of life on my own.

Forever grateful for your tenderness,
bidding farewell with but a soft caress.
