Living in a soul born before,
I feel the intense pain of humanity.
Greed closed heaven's door,
as I write about mankind's vanity.
Slavery of the 1860's, Women's Suffrage,
to the Great depression of 1929.
Love is of that which burns,
marked words are of what I never had.
This poetic road has many turns,.
my words lost as good turns ghost.
Concentration camps of World War 2,
to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Regretful tears flow like a river
into a countless life filled azure ocean.
I lay awake in a cold sweat,
sorry things aren't like before the wheel.
Race riots of the 60's, Women's movement ,
Viet Nam, HIV, 911, and the Gulf War.
Into the valley of homelessness,
not knowing where man's soul homes lies.
I suffer a wordless existence,
that leads me to believe there is no sunrise.
From new born tyranny to Covid-19
the world has lost its way in the darkness.
