Tis the dawning of a new day,
for me not that easy of a thing.
Alone I seek the true love of life,
out there waiting for embraces,
sweet kisses of warmth burn my heart,
knowing they are surely not for me.
Clouds do appear overhead dark,
she stands alone shivering and afraid
wondering why arms are not for her.
Instead they embrace memories so cold,
I yearn for her flesh to caress constantly,
to hold my soul until sleep does come.
The furious rage that is love's storm
engulfs my confused mind in chaos.
Loves crossed, but no connection
unrequited, first, or true misunderstood.
Forging ahead, try and try again,
is all the strength we two understand.
The thunderous storm finally subsides,
this time you are there lying lifeless,
upon the sands of time, deep and white.
Perchance to dream a kiss so tenderly
upon the blue lips of love's dark death,
to dream of heaven on angel's wings.
