Egregious times are these,
bringing strong men to their knees.
When color was brought to bear,
when we really shouldn't care.
Because we are the tribe of man.
Such disdain in our hearts,
hopefully bigotry will depart.
Then our race as one
will shine brighter than the sun.
Because we are the tribe of man.
The death toll rises high,
as we raise our hands to the sky.
He is us, and we are he,
time to set ourselves free.
Because we are the tribe of man,
it's time to take a human stand.
