Tears flow,
as words appear
on ancient parchment.
The pain of joy,
the joy of pain so intense,
emotions like a solar flare's heat.
From lives
shattered glass,
explode into my soul.
To its romance
burning down the night,
of passionate intimate moments.
As the pen scribes
down on paper so blank,
the soul's blood appears miraculously.
Leading me to believe
I was meant to be a poet,
so I wouldn't go mad in the spirit.

I have been writing poetry for 44 years. I began writing poetry when I was 15 years old and to this date I have written over 16,000 poems. I have had poems published in The San Fernando Journal, The Rag Mag, WYRD, The Cultural Reverence(e-magazine) and in Kiiroo(e-magazine), Mobius and the World Peace Anthology.
