I seen you put the red rose
on my casket,
with great sorrow in your soul.
I guess this means it's over,
remember me please
with a true love so real, never to die.
As I walk the lonely walk alone,
the red rose memory
in my ghostly mind forever,
under the green trees of our home,
interred in the earth
is my body, but not our love.
It lives eternally in us,
in who we are
lovers in the pain of reality.
